Accounting Support Associate AP/AR
Job Description
SUMMARY
We are looking for an ambitious AP/AR ASSOCIATE to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.
Responsible for reconciling all AR and AP transactions as well as collections.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor Receivable Accounts to ensure timely payments
· Mark invoices and Purchase orders paid
· Reconciling all bank collection accounts and credit card accounts
· Assist in general accounting and administrative tasks as necessary
· Review and process credit applications
· Call on customers to pay overdue invoices
· Maintain and file internal and external accounting records
· Working closely with the controller to preform daily accounting tasks
· Maintain vendor relationships
· Research delinquent invoices and facilitate timely payments
· Assist with other accounting projects
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Must have good communication skills as will be interacting with vendors on a daily basis
· Demonstrates positive attitude, good communications, teamwork and the ability to multitask
· Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
· Effectively communicate both internally and externally
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Comfortable working in a high-volume processing environment requiring accuracy
· Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines, timely, accurately and consistently
· Ability to follow established standard operating procedures and meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently or with a team
· 5+ years of Accounting experience; Excel Proficient; QuickBooks – nice to have.
