Job Overview
The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Manager will oversee and manage the horticulture/spray division, including two technicians, while coordinating with account managers and production managers. This role involves scheduling and logistics, ensuring optimal operations for residential and turf/ornamental care. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled, detail-oriented, and adept at upselling services to enhance client satisfaction and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the horticulture division, including two technicians.
- Oversee scheduling and logistics for technicians, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate scheduling with account managers and production managers.
- Manage and grow a book of business of approximately clients, focusing on residential clients.
- Upsell additional treatments and services to existing clients to enhance revenue.
- Monitor and inspect trees, shrubs, and turf to identify and resolve pest, disease, or environmental issues.
- Develop and execute treatment plans, including pesticide applications, biological control measures, and cultural practices.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain Z sprayers and spray tanks.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Utilize Aspire software for scheduling and managing daily workloads of 5-10 properties per technician.
- Provide written reports and actionable recommendations to clients and account managers.
- Maintain exceptional client relationships and deliver outstanding service.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- License/Certification: Preferably a licensed technician (although the company has license holders available).
- Strong technical experience in turf and ornamental care, with a focus on pest management.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (experience with Aspire is a plus).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage crews and collaborate with managers.
