Intellectual Property Transactional Associate Attorney

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Intellectual Property Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law, with a focus on licensing and transactional matters. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of complex IP transactions and contribute to the firm's continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of intellectual property agreements, including licensing agreements, assignment agreements, and technology transfer agreements.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright law.
• Conduct due diligence investigations and risk assessments for intellectual property transactions.
• Represent clients in negotiations and mediation.
• Assist with the development of intellectual property strategies and portfolio management.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent degree)
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred
• 3+ years of experience in intellectual property (IP) licensing and IP transactional matters
• Strong academic performance and excellent research and writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Strong organizational and time management skills
