About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of ICD 705/Physical Security Specialist, (or Expert). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance and support in the implementation, interpretation, and compliance of the Intelligence Community Directive 705 (ICD 705), ensuring the highest level of security standards for our clients. This multifaceted position entails a wide array of responsibilities, including conducting comprehensive reviews and assessments of facility security measures to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of the intricate nuances of physical security principles, enabling them to provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance our client’s security posture.
Key responsibilities of the role include advising on the design and construction of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs) to meet stringent security requirements and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the implementation of security protocols and procedures, ensuring alignment with ICD 705 standards and regulations at all times. Moreover, the ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, enabling them to assess complex security challenges and develop innovative solutions to address them effectively. Collaboration is fundamental to success in this role, and the ability to engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders and government agencies is paramount. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, fostering collaborative relationships and driving initiatives to enhance security awareness and compliance across all of their assigned projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance and support in the implementation, interpretation, and compliance of the ICD 705.
Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of facility security measures to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Advise on the design and construction of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs) to meet stringent security requirements and regulatory standards.
Ensure adherence to ICD 705 standards and regulations throughout the design, construction, and maintenance phases of facility projects.
Oversee the implementation of security protocols and procedures, including access control, physical security measures, and security technology solutions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, government agencies, accreditation officials, and external partners to ensure alignment with security objectives and regulatory requirements.
Stay abreast of emerging security trends, technologies, and best practices to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in security practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert on physical security matters, providing guidance and support to project teams, leadership, and other stakeholders as needed.
Participate in security audits, assessments, and investigations as required, and assist in developing corrective action plans to address identified deficiencies.

Representation: Represent the organization in security-related forums, conferences, and working groups, advocating for best practices, and promoting the organization's reputation as a leader in security excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements
U.S. Citizenship: Due to the nature of this position and the requirement for access to classified or sensitive information, candidates must be U.S. citizens as defined by federal law.
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in physical and technical security interpreting and implementing facility physical and technical security requirements IAW NISPOM, ICD 705, Incident Command Systems 705 (ICS 705-1/2) and SAPF requirements.
Knowledge of Best Practices Guideline for Architectural Radio Frequency (RF) Shielding, TEMPEST and Radio Frequency countermeasures.
Experience with Protected Distribution System (PDS) Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI 7003).
Understanding of Committee on National Security Systems Advisory Memorandum (CNSSAM) Tempest/1-13 (Red/Black Separation guide).
Documented completion of accreditation documentation (Construction Security Plan (CSP), Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC), TEMPEST Checklist, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Control System (ACS), Protected Distribution System (PDS) etc.).
Knowledge of SCI, SAP and DOD Programs and Accreditation Processes.
Experience with Architectural Drawings/As-Builds/Schematics.
Knowledge of UL2050 Standards for alarm and protective signaling systems.
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and sit during working hours. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Able to climb ladders and perform tasks at elevated heights.
This position requires compliance with all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees. Candidates must be willing and able to wear appropriate PPE, including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots, as required for the job duties and work environment.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed for job-related assignments (25%-50%).
