American Consultants is looking for an interim Revenue Cycle Management Consultant for a facility in Phoenix, AZ
Job Summary
This role is a project to help a facility with assessment and remediation within the revenue cycle department. We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of front to back end revenue cycle management leadership positions. Must have been through multiple EHR implementations and has a solid understanding of IT, IS and interfaces.You will need to be onsite in Arizona approximately 75% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, billing, coding, accounts receivable, and collections.
- Identify and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle processes, reduce denials, and improve reimbursement.
- Conduct analysis of revenue cycle performance metrics and provide regular reports to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
- Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations and ensure billing practices align with healthcare laws and standards.
- Drive the development and training of the revenue cycle team, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may impact the revenue cycle or financial outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, healthcare billing regulations, and payer requirements.
- Certification in Healthcare Financial Management (CHFM) or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) is a plus.
- Proficiency in healthcare revenue cycle software and analytics tools.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
