Job Summary
This role will be responsible for overseeing billing, collections, coding, and revenue management functions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of revenue cycle best practices, a track record of enhancing financial performance, and the ability to lead and support the team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, billing, coding, accounts receivable, and collections.
- Identify and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle processes, reduce denials, and improve reimbursement.
- Conduct analysis of revenue cycle performance metrics and provide regular reports to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
- Oversee compliance with federal and state regulations and ensure billing practices align with healthcare laws and standards.
- Drive the development and training of the revenue cycle team, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may impact the revenue cycle or financial outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, healthcare billing regulations, and payer requirements.
- Certification in Healthcare Financial Management (CHFM) or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) is a plus.
- Proficiency in healthcare revenue cycle software and analytics tools.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
