HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Interim Nurse Manager of GI Services at a 250+ bed hospital in Northern California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishes protocols and practices, ensuring compliance with department, affiliate, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies and procedures, TJC standards, and applicable laws and regulations
- Makes rounds with staff, patients and physicians, listening to concerns and issues, conducting service recovery, and ensuring appropriate patient care
- Promotes efficient and effective communications between departments and/or business teams to improve and standardize workflows
- Identifies and works to remove barriers that may hinder the delivery of care or the achievement of process/productivity improvement and
efficiency. - Provides and fosters an inclusive work environment that encourages staff engagement and collaboration, establishing a culture of teamwork
- Monitors department productivity, ensuring operational challenges are addressed timely
- Identifies process improvement opportunities, and initiates action plan to meet short/long term operational objectives
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Experience: 8 years management, supervisory or team lead experience; 8 years progressive clinical/healthcare management and/or operations experience in the appropriate area of specialty; 8 years experience in a nursing professional discipline with a solid understanding of patient care and acute care operations
- License: Active California RN license required
- Certifications: BLS certification issued through the AHA required
- Computer Skills: Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) and Microsoft Office suite experience preferred
