HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Interim Operating Room Nurse Manager, responsible for Endo, PACU, OR and PAT, at a 400+ bed facility in Northern California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Making rounds and doing audits during cases
• Help the department transition to EPIC in the middle part of next year
• ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective leadership and / or provision of patient care delivery in assigned nursing unit(s) or area(s)
• Consults with nurse leaders and educators on developing strategies for performance improvement.
• Involves physicians, staff and other healthcare team members in the development of plans to manage patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Serves as a resource to nursing staff on patient care clinical issues, new policies, and technology.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Mast of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. 
• Experience: 5+ years of recent OR management; Able to prioritize effectively according to department needs and ability to organize a large number of changing variables; Strong communication, writing and inter-personal abilities, including skills such as attitude, diplomacy and persuasiveness, analytical ability, strong judgment and managerial skills
• License: California RN license required
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required 
• Computer Skills: Information systems experience (EPIC) and Microsoft Office suite
