Interim/Perm Director of IT- ID
American Consultants is looking for either an Interim or Perm Director of IT at a critical access hospital outside of Couer d'Alene, Idaho.
Must have experience working in a critical access facility
Position Summary:
Leadership and Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, providing leadership to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for IT during the interim period, reporting to executive management on key IT initiatives, challenges, and departmental needs.
Technology Strategy and Planning
- Evaluate current IT infrastructure and systems to identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
- Develop and implement short-term strategies to optimize IT operations and address immediate needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business goals and requirements.
- Contribute to the organization’s strategic IT roadmap and support ongoing digital transformation projects.
Project Management and Implementation
- Lead or support key IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee upgrades, installations, and rollouts of new software, systems, or applications.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or risks proactively.
Cybersecurity and Risk Management
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect the organization’s data, systems, and infrastructure.
- Oversee risk assessments and implement policies and procedures to mitigate potential security threats.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Operational Support
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for users across the organization.
- Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and smooth operation of all IT systems.
- Manage and optimize the IT budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in IT leadership roles, ideally with experience in interim or transitional positions.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing IT operations, leading teams, and managing projects.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
