Warbird Healthcare Advisors actively seeks experienced candidates to be considered for an Interim Staff Accountant role with a physician group in the Southeast. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Interim Staff Accountant is responsible for performing all assigned accounting duties. He/she must have knowledge of accounting systems and practices, ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and spreadsheet applications, and the ability to identify and resolve any accounting issues.

Location: Onsite (TN)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with preparing various financial and statistical reports including monthly balance sheets, and income statements.
• Reconcile bank statements monthly
• Responsible for coordinating monthly close process
• Responsible for monitoring and managing all aspects of the general ledger
• Perform General ledger balance sheet reconciliations
• Organize purchase orders, match purchase orders with invoices, ensure invoices are properly approved, prepare and mail invoices
• Process Accounts Payable checks and voided checks, and conducts the filing of paid invoices in a timely and efficient manner as needed
• Oversight of processing 1099s at year-end
• Process W-2s at year-end
• Process mileage reimbursements for payroll processing
• Accurate and timely processing of payroll. Prepare and maintains accurate payroll records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, and state payroll laws.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or related field within a healthcare setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and analytical abilities
• Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Proficient in use of accounting systems, General Dynamics GP (Great Plains) a plus
