****The Role

We are looking for a Marketing Intern to help us create content to support Cometeer's social media marketing vision. In this role, you will work closely with the brand, marketing and growth teams. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is creative, organized, and who independently and consistently generates ideas and seeks opportunities to improve our marketing efforts and engage our customers. They also need to be a team player who thrives in a high-impact, dynamic, cross-functional work environment.

This role is slated for 20 hours per week, with the majority of that time on-site in our Flatiron District office.

What you'll do:

• Content creation:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop creative and compelling content including photo, short form-video, social media copy, and digital assets.
  • Create visually appealing and engaging short-form video content, appearing on camera where necessary.
  • Support the editing process for visual assets and the development of digital assets.

• Campaign support:

  • Contribute with the ideation and planning of our monthly/quarterly content calendar.
  • Monitor online trends on social media and ideate relevant social content ideas.
  • Own scheduling of social media posts, ensuring the calendar is timely and organized.

• Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist in managing organization of assets and materials in Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, organizing documents, and managing marketing materials.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for events, gifting to media, and promotional activities.

• Learning and Growth:

  • Take advantage of opportunities to learn from experienced marketing professionals.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects.

What we're looking for:

• Current undergraduate student
• Comfortable in front of and behind the camera
• Fluency in the language of social media platforms and an interest in online trends
• Strong background in content creation, social media marketing, or photography
• Experience with photo/video editing is a huge plus!
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop clear, simple processes to improve efficiency and organization
• Solution-oriented approach to problem solving that is grounded in data-based decision-making
• Understands how to prioritize and tackle problems that vary in size and complexity
• Ability to work well independently and in close collaboration with teammates
• Positive, compassionate individual who treats colleagues and customers with respect
