GENERAL SUMMARY
Assesses the adequacy of established procedures that safeguard tribal assets. Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Casino operations while participating in auditing activities.
CORE SCOPE OF POSITION
- Prepares programs, checklists, work papers, schedules, and summaries in accordance with applicable standards.
- Develop recommendations to address audit results and to strengthen minimum internal control standards and policies and procedures.
- Prepares audit reports to document findings in accordance with professional and department standards.
- Conducts independent analyses and evaluations of the gaming operation to determine compliance with regulations.
- Responsible for possessing a thorough understanding of and keeping current with NIGC and State regulations.
- Periodically review proposed Policies and Procedures and recommend changes in order ensure compliance with NIGC, State, and local regulations.
- Conduct audits in the manner set forth by department directives.
- Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.
- Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistics, probability, and interest.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define and solve problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standards exist.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
- Must have knowledge of all internal audit requirements of a gaming facility.
- Must have knowledge of applicable laws, internal controls, Tribal Gaming Ordinances, Tribal Gaming Commission Regulations, Tribal/State Compact, and casino policy and procedure.
- Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work well under stress.
- Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change.
- Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.
Required Experience
** EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION**
- Four-year degree in a business-related field, or a two-year degree in combination with two years of experience in the gaming industry.
EXPERIENCE
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
