About the Role
We are looking for a highly resourceful and independent Internal Platform Engineer to work on-site at our Scottsdale, AZ office. This role is a hybrid between a full-stack engineer and a "hacker" —someone who thrives in fast-paced, experimental environments, enjoys working on proof-of-concept (POC) projects, and can pivot quickly between different challenges.
You will work directly with the CEO on rapid prototyping, internal tooling, automation, and integrations, while also leading and contributing to our internal engineering squad. This means balancing high-impact strategic projects with hands-on development , working in a team that values autonomy, curiosity, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO to quickly develop POCs, automations, and internal tooling.
- Own and drive projects in low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Retool, HubSpot integrations) as well as custom software development.
- Lead the internal engineering squad , ensuring the team operates efficiently and that internal business needs are met.
- Develop APIs, integrations, and automation solutions to streamline company operations.
- Balance “hackathon-style” projects with structured feature development and support engineering.
- Participate in and advocate for best practices in software development, automation, and system architecture.
- Identify opportunities for technical innovation and operational efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3-6+ years of software development experience, with a mix of startup, growth-stage, or product-focused work.
- Strong full-stack engineering skills , including experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with integrations, APIs, and automation tools like Retool, Zapier, Make.com , or HubSpot.
- Comfort with rapid prototyping —ability to take an idea and build a working POC within days.
- A highly independent problem-solver who is proactive, curious, and capable of working with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication skills—you enjoy collaborating in person , sharing knowledge, and iterating quickly.
- Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment where priorities shift frequently.
- Experience with internal tools engineering or business operations automation is a big plus.
