MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

• · Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course    Information sheets.
• · Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
• · Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
• · Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• · Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
• · Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
• · Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
• · Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
• · Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in the provision of residential rehabilitation services, 1 to 3 years of supervisory or management experience required and Substance Use Disorder experience and / or knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of SUD treatment or counseling or MA in Human Services or related field.
• Must have empathy and interest in people with complex personal and family problems, and familiarity with community resources required.  Must be able to work weekends and evening hours when necessary to provide adequate coverage for the program.
• Must be Spanish / English bilingual.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, ability to assume travel assignments related to work.
