    The International Europe Reporter Intern will cover international content focused on mainland Europe for a United States audience as their regular beat for Modern Treatise.

    Responsibilities:

    • Write a weekly column covering mainland Europe.
    • Special region-related coverage.

    Duration: 6 months

    This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.

    The candidate should be adept at understanding the geopolitics across Europe.

    The candidate should be adept at understanding the nuances of domestic politics across Europe.

    The candidate should be adept at understanding political philosophies rather than political talking points.

    The candidate must be able to look at geopolitical subject matters from multiple perspectives.

    The candidate must be able to report on European politics without bias toward political a party or one ideological belief system.

    The candidate should be adept at understanding the ever-shifting state of the economy across Europe.

    The candidate should be adept at understanding the ever-shifting state of the economy or economies of the region covered.

    The candidate must be able to write in the American English style.
