Position Overview:
Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internist to join a skilled nursing home facility in Peekskill, NY. Qualifications:
- Education: MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Active NY State Medical License (required).
- Experience: New graduates are welcome; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in chronic disease management, geriatric care, and acute illness treatment
- Soft Skills: Excellent bedside manner, communication, and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and diagnose acute/chronic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment efficacy
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Provide preventive care and health education
- Coordinate care with specialists and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Potentially serve on-call for urgent patient needs
