    Job Description

    Primary Function of Position:
    Instruments Final Quality Inspection (IFQI) technician 3 will provide QA support by performing visual, dimensional and functional inspections of purchased assemblies and products. This position takes on additional responsibilities outside of the normal inspection responsibilities. This position is more advanced than the Tech 2 position and carries more expertise and some leadership/facilitator responsibilities with independent thinking.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Ability to perform all Tech 2 responsibilities plus the following
    • Ability to run daily inventory and other reports
    • Ability to run PMC WO and reconciliation
    • Ability to run, print, perform, and reconcile monthly inventory cycle counts
    • Facilitates Quality Circle/Kaizen discussions
    • Ability to perform receiving functions
    • Ability to identify a failure’s root cause with QE
    • Assists QE in QAP redlining for efficiency review/input
    • Stages material based on inspection priority
    • Understands 5S concepts and offers suggestions
    • Willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

    • Minimum High school diploma, A.S. Engineering Degree preferred.
    • Minimum 5 or more years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrates high level of accuracy in work performed
    • Ability to use advanced measuring tools such as DMM, optical comparator, MATLab software, and other custom equipment
    • Proficient in use of personal computers as part of daily work, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, SAP and ACCS (Agile) system to retrieve and submit on-line documentation
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
    • Maintains a neat and orderly workstation
    • Maintains an excellent attendance record.
    • Performs other duties that may be assigned
