    Position Summary

    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to manage materials and supplies on our construction jobsite. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking, organizing, and maintaining an accurate inventory of materials, tools, and equipment required for the project.

    Essencial Duties and Responsabilities

    • Inventory Management:
      • Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
      • Conduct regular inventory counts (daily/weekly/monthly) to ensure accuracy.
      • Update and maintain inventory records in the company's inventory management system.
      • Track usage of materials and reorder supplies as needed, coordinating with the purchasing team.
    • Material Handling:
      • Receive and inspect materials, tools, and equipment delivered to the jobsite.
      • Verify quantities and condition of items received and ensure they match purchase orders.
      • Organize storage areas to ensure safe, efficient access to materials and tools.
      • Prepare and issue materials to workers as required for daily operations.
    • Record Keeping & Reporting:
      • Maintain accurate logs of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
      • Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management or suppliers immediately.
      • Provide daily/weekly inventory reports to the project manager, highlighting any stock issues or needs.
      • Assist with the preparation of material usage reports for cost tracking and budget management.
    • Coordination with Suppliers & Project Team:
      • Communicate with the purchasing team regarding the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
      • Collaborate with the project team to forecast material needs based on project schedules.
      • Work with supervisors and foremen to ensure that workers have access to the necessary tools and materials.
    • Safety & Compliance:
      • Ensure that inventory is stored according to safety standards, with proper labeling, handling, and protection.
      • Comply with company policies, construction site regulations, and OSHA safety guidelines.
      • Maintain a clean and organized inventory area to minimize hazards.
    • Physical Demands:
      • Regular exposure to weather and outside environment.
      • Occasional lifting of 50-100 lb. boxes.
      • Able to walk stairs.
      • Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 hours daily).

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Must have good decision-making ability.
    • Able to operate a forklift.
    • Valid Driver's license.

    Education & Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Experience with online inventory systems desired.
