    Job Description

    Summary

    The Inventory Control Supervisor reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counting, reporting, and adjustments. S/he will lead Inventory Control efforts at Neighbors to include all daily activities necessary to maintain accurate inventory records.

    This role acts as a resource to the Controller with responsibility for addressing production and inventory errors in the system, including investigating errors and assisting with various requests from other departments. The Inventory Control Supervisor will assess inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective actions necessary to support continuous process improvement and operational excellence.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    · Manage ingredients, packaging materials, and finished good inventory.

    · Assist in managing FIFO, proper documentation, and other Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.

    · Regular cycle counting inventory according to prescribed criteria.

    · Assists with fiscal year end audit.

    · Investigate errors and discrepancies in the physical inventory to understand the root cause and make corrections.

    · Have a strong working relationship with Production, Supply Planning, 885 Warehouse, and other departments as needed.

    · Be a subject matter expert on the selected Warehouse Management System (WMS), NetSuite ERP, and other systems as needed.

    · Reviews production entries and/or batch issuing on daily basis.

    · Monitor and close jobs in WMS as needed.

    · Ensure that all Inbound shipments are verified for accuracy, damages are captured (photos), noted on the BOL and deducted from the shipment. Provide a copy of the BOL and pictures to Supply Planning (Sr. Buyer).

    · Work with the Dock Supervisor to ensure that all outbound shipments (Transport & Fundraising) are verified for accuracy and that all paperwork Is properly closed out in WMS.

    · Track product damages and document losses in WMS daily.

    · Support loss and waste analysis as needed.

    · Work with Warehouse Operations to verify and confirm the recording of all ingredient and packaging materials entry and exit transactions in our WMS system, including destruction & write-offs.

    · Conduct associate performance reviews, as needed.

    · Ensure company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced at appropriate levels.

    · Ensure employees have proper training and access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned responsibilities.

    · Ensure work is in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.

    · Performs other tasks as required.

    Education

    · Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

    · High school diploma or equivalent with work related experience in inventory control, is required.

    · 2-5 years’ relative work experience required.

    · Knowledge of systems with a WMS is required.

    · Knowledge of NetSuite ERP system is a plus.

    Minimum Qualifications

    · 2+ years as an Inventory Control Supervisory role

    · Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.

    · Experience working in the Food &/or Beverage industry or other regulated industry with high-quality standards.

    · Hi-Lift and Pallet jack experience is a plus.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    · Ability to support warehouse functions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

    Work Authorization

    If hired, all employees are required to submit proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of their start date.
