We are seeking an energetic and methodical Inventory Controller to join our client's Seattle team working in a refrigerated or frozen environment. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for executing inventory control processes within their Seattle facility, advising on key inventory flow issues, discrepancies, and potential losses. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will be essential as you conduct daily cycle counts, provide weekly updates, and maintain strict oversight of inventory-related activities. With a focus on productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement, the Inventory Controller will ensure that all operations are executed efficiently and with a strong bias towards action.     What the Inventory Controller will do:

    • Execute processes and procedures that improve inventory accuracy and reporting, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Execute various existing daily/weekly/monthly cycle counting programs.
    • Investigates and analyzes inventory discrepancies and proposes solutions.
    • First in First Out (FIFO) Champion and ensures proper rotation.
    • Partner with the Inventory Manager to proactively identify and remove roadblocks that affect inventory accuracy.
    • Acquire a strong understanding of internal WMS and reporting systems, leveraging them regularly to drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy.
    • Provide data for basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and databases.
    • Prepare summary information for manager's review.
    • Provide data and verify data for recurring and routine internal reports.
    • Check documents for accuracy and completeness, cross reference information.
    • Verify information and data for compliance with regulations and procedures.
    • Safely operates and certified in scissor lift and forklift.
    • Completes other tasks as assigned.

    What the Inventory Controller needs to have:

    • Previous inventory experience of 2+ years, food preferred.
    • Knowledge of inventory processes with Aspen-Canopy software knowledge preferred.
    • English fluency in written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to work well with varying personalities and cultures while contributing to a positive work environment.
    • Demonstrated time management skills and flexibility in responding to unexpected demands.
    • Skilled at independent decision making and able to cope with setbacks and unexpected challenges with energy while proposing ideas or actions that improve work effectiveness and find solutions.
