The Inventory Manager/Runner is responsible for managing inventory, tracking materials, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies/materials to job sites. This role involves working closely with foreman and project managers to maintain efficiency in material management, warehouse organization, and equipment readiness. It is the Inventory Manager/Runners job to keep track of anything coming in and out of the yard and warehouse. The Inventory Manager/Runner plays a crucial part in keeping projects on track by ensuring teams have the necessary materials and equipment at all times.
Qualifications:
Experience in inventory management, material handling, or a similar role.
Basic knowledge of landscaping materials, tools, and equipment.
Be able to operate a Bobcat and one-ton trucks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and problem-solve efficiently.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to lift and transport materials safely.
Valid driver’s license required
MN DOT Medical Card required
Key Responsibilities:(These duties are not just limited to the above; they will also include any area where Miller Creek needs assistance.)
Track, manage, and organize inventory in the shop, warehouse, and yard.
Order and restock materials for the shop, yard, and active job sites.
Maintain an accurate log of materials, tools, and supplies.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites as needed.
Refill job site equipment and supplies on a weekly basis.
Work with foremen and project managers to plan for upcoming job material needs.
Assist with coordinating material pickups and deliveries.
Reorganize the shop, warehouse, and yard for optimal efficiency.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all storage areas.
Identify and address organizational issues, notifying team members if standards are slipping.
Ensure equipment, tools, and materials are stored properly and in good condition.
Attend Friday meetings as required to coordinate with foremen and project managers.
Provide updates on inventory levels and material needs.
Assist with planning job site logistics and material requirements.
