Home Technology Professional with Inventory Experience

If these resonate with you then the Home Technology Professional/Inventory Specialist position is for you. In this position, you will split your time between installing world-class technology solutions for customers and maintaining product inventory at our Denver Warehouse.
This is a split position, working 50% of the time on installation sites, and 50% of the time at the warehouse. This is an exciting opportunity to learn two sides of the business at once, doubling your paths for promotion. You will report directly to the Director of Project Management and work closely with the Director of Purchasing and Inventory Management at the corporate office in Illinois.
In this position you will be responsible for all receiving, and warehouse management. In addition, you will have other general office duties that support the Sales, Service and install teams in our Denver office. You will also travel to customers' sights and install Technology solutions.
Inventory Specialist
Receive all product through FedEx, UPS, USPS, and all TL/LTL and other couriers.
Staging all products required for upcoming and ongoing projects. Collaborating with Project Coordinator or Sales Engineer to determine job-specific needs.
Maintain the warehouse's cleanliness and organization. This means having all products received placed in appropriate job staging piles for ease of access and delivery.
Maintaining vendor relationships through effective communication and handling shipment disputes in a reasonable manner.
Coordinate communication and efforts with the purchasing agent at the head office.
Forecast product needs by looking at upcoming projects on a 10-business day cycle.
Coordinate recycling needs for faulty equipment as well as recyclables.
Maintain adequate levels of stock items for quick turn-around projects and in the event, something was overlooked during purchasing/deployment.
Ensure the product pick list is completed post-purchasing and pre-deployment.
General office duties as assigned
Home Technology Professional
Ability to understand and follow pre-wire and retro-wire standards and practices
Ability to understand and troubleshoot networks
Good understanding of PC Computers and programs
Commitment to ongoing education with our online courses
Ability to perform basic installation task
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and repairs to home automation systems
Understand how to do a continuity test
Understand how to use a multimeter
Understand how to use an ethernet tester
Understand how to use a tone generator

Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience in warehouse/operations positions
Home Technology Installation experience
Knowledge and experience working with technology and electronics is helpful
Familiar with desktop and mobile computing
Clean driving record and background check (required for DCJS certification)
Ability to work on your feet 50-90% of your day.
Capability to lift up to 50-pound items, as needed.
