Inventory and Equipment Coordinator
Position Summary: The focus of the Inventory and Equipment Coordinator is to support Snapology programs through managing, inventorying, preparing, and cleaning learning materials. Learning materials include LEGO® brick sets and building kits, tablets, computers, informational materials, and more. Additionally, the Inventory and Equipment Coordinator will assist in maintaining a clean environment at the Snapology Classroom in Gig Harbor, and work to enhance the experience of our visitors.
The Inventory and Equipment Coordinator will work independently to prepare learning materials for use in educational programs being conducted in our Snapololgy classroom as well as our mobile locations throughout Pierce and South Kitsap Counties. This role requires collaboration and coordination between program facilitators and requires a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently with indirect supervision.
Schedule: This is a flexible position where you can determine your schedule. You will have access to complete required work mostly when children are not in our Snapology Classroom. This may be a combination of weekday afternoons, one weekend day, and evenings. Team meetings occur twice a month on a weekday.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Designates supplies for scheduled programs (classes, workshops, birthdays, camps)
Coordinates supply pickup and dropoff with program facilitators
Maintain organization, inventory, and cleaning of equipment
Contributes to cleaning and organization of the Snapology Classroom
Charges and updates electronics
Conducts an audit of inventory and equipment twice a year
Transports equipment between the Snapology Classroom and storage as needed
Creates and updates inventory documentation
Works with management to establish standard operating procedures
Completes special assignments as indicated by Snapology leadership
Participates in periodic Snapology training as required
Qualifications:
Criminal and child clearances must be current
High attention to detail
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Fine motor skills for sorting and counting small pieces
Gross motor skills for general cleaning
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Typical color vision
Experience in educational settings, retail, or art & design a plus
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
This position is part-time, and hours will depend on the volume of programming needing to be managed. Depending on the time of year, Inventory coordinators can typically work about 10 hours per week with more hours available as an assistant or lead teacher.
