We have an exceptional summer internship opportunity for a top performing rising/graduated junior, senior or graduate student interested in a career in healthcare fraud investigation. Located in our Dallas, TX office, this internship is for 8 weeks, 40 hours per week beginning June 9. The hourly wage is $17.75.
The intern will work with our Investigations team engaged in the detection and investigation of fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare. The internship may include but is not limited to:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Works with the team to prioritize complaints for investigation, and then investigates, conducts interviews and reviews information to make potential fraud determination.
· Determines investigation or case appropriateness of fraud, waste and abuse issues in accordance with pre-established criteria.
· Conducts interviews of witnesses, informants, and subject area experts and targets of investigations.
· Identifies and collects information to support the an investigation
· Drafts investigation reports and promotes effective and efficient investigations.
· Works with data to understand healthcare claims
· Prepares and presents a final report.
