    Title: Investment Accounting Associate - Private Equity & Real Assets (NYC, Hybrid)

     

     

    Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)

     

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

     

    • Supervise a team of third-party administrators to conduct analytical reviews of monthly and quarterly property financial statements.
    • Convert property financials from tax/historical GAAP, IFRS, or other accounting bases to US GAAP.
    • Prepare and review disposition gains, waterfall calculations, and promote allocations.
    • Ensure proper accounting treatment for recognizing income and adhering to capitalization policies.
    • Coordinate year-end property audits and assist with tax return preparation.
    • Collaborate with deal teams, asset management, and operations to coordinate capital activity for acquisitions, dispositions, refinances, and various other capital calls and distributions.
    • Support valuations and work closely with operating partners, audit firms, and fund accounting teams.
    • Handle ad hoc projects and cross-departmental initiatives as needed.

     

     

    Qualifications:

     

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 2-6 years of relevant experience in real estate accounting, public accounting, or fund administration.
    • Strong understanding of journal entries, financial statements, and financial reporting processes across various industries.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with relevant accounting systems is a plus.
    • Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Interest in financial analysis and a strong attention to detail.

     

     

    Compensation: $120,000 - $155,000, with additional incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
