Our client, a respected wealth management firm in Colorado with $120 million in AUM and a strong base of retainer clients, is seeking an Investment Analyst. This role will focus on investment research, portfolio analysis, and supporting the firm's investment strategies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations: execute trades across client accounts, monitor investment platforms, manage cash needs, account rebalancing and settlements and ensure adherence to firm policies and regulatory requirements in all investment activities.
- Account Management: oversee account operations (account openings, transfers, billing and investment workflows), manage systems related to portfolio management, investments and reporting and manage transfers and transitions of money movement into the firm.
- Investment Analysis: manage the 338 duties within qualified plans, conduct research on securities, funds and other assets, prepare asset allocation, location and performance reports, perform valuations of clients' businesses and develop presentations and summaries to facilitate Advisor-Client communication.
- Investment Management: Qualified plan management (RFPs, tracking and plan servicing, provide investment committee with data-driven insights and analysis, oversee and optimize model portfolios and collaborate with Advisors on case design.
- Data, Automation and AI: ensure accurate data collection, organization and integration across all platforms, utilize tools like Power BI to enhance data analysis and workflow automation and maintain data integrity and security. Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline investment management and leverage AI for advanced analytics.
- Problem Solving: identify operation or investment-related challenges and develop data-driven solutions and collaborate with Advisors and other team members to address inefficiencies and enhance processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA designation (or progress towards) preferred.
- 2-5 years of investment analysis or related experience as well as trading experience.
- Proficiency in Power BI.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Compensation
- $80,000 - $100,000 annually, with performance-based bonuses and benefits.
