As an Investment Banking Analyst at RJM & Company (“RJM”), you will assist senior bankers as they provide clients with strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, and various other financial advisory mandates. Analysts at RJM are heavily involved in all aspects of the transactions on which they are staffed. Firmwide, we focus on training analysts in the early stages of their careers on the foundational tools necessary to understand the fundamental drivers of valuation and structure, arming them with the necessary foundation to advance through the ranks, depending on the work ethic and ability the team member exhibits. Analysts at RJM are not shielded from key discussions with clients or counterparties and are regularly asked to produce meaningful work product for live mandates. Responsibilities:
· Analyze company data to develop financial models which include various methods for company valuations and/or financing capabilities and be prepared to thoroughly defend the thought process and assumptions used.
· Create and finalize marketing materials related to new business development and the execution of client mandates. You will need to put yourself in the mind of the investor to determine what is relevant to them when deploying capital.
· Analyze and understand relevant industry dynamics for the deals on which you are staffed to form a defensible thesis on how capital providers will view financial and operational metrics related to valuation drivers.
· Contribute thoughtful ideas and work which are not limited to solely developing financial models and marketing materials. You will be heavily involved in solidifying investment theses for business development along with ideating high-level strategy for clients as it relates to valuation construct and transaction negotiations.
· Coordinate internal and external tasks which range from generating sponsor lists to managing virtual data rooms.

Qualifications:
· An undergraduate degree in business, economics, math, or another related field with a proven academic record from a top university and an interest in finance.
· The ability to quickly fulfill the SIE testing requirements and gain Series 63 & 79 licensing.
· 0 – 2 years relevant experience.
· An ability to confidently speak up and articulate your work product and ideas as you will be tasked with presenting internally to senior bankers and externally to clients and other parties.
· Expert modeling, financial analysis, research, time management, task execution, verbal and written communication, and accounting skills.
