General Summary - Candidate will support an Army customer located on Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, Alabama. The candidate will work closely with a highly technical team of developers, engineers and operations SMEs developing advanced software capabilities and technical solutions for a mission planning system to represent, operate and train users in applications operations, provide customer application and technical support, software applications installation and operation expertise/training to users and produce project/cybersecurity/training documentation.
- Performs a wide variety of tasks, multi-tasking, and changing focus quickly as demands change; adapting to varying customer needs; and managing priorities effectively
- Provides on-site system training and assistance on military mission planning system
- Develops documentation for systems
- Provides technical assistance with regard to daily operations, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance of these military systems.
- Resolves operational and technical deficiencies within the system.
- Monitors daily system operations ensuring system performance and data requirements meet specifications.
- Tests system to ensure proper functionality
- Installs and integrates parts on military systems
- Updates, refines, maintains, and delivers training material
- May serve as a technical liaison between the project team, government customers, and users
- Support all Field Service activities and provide implementation services, Train-the-Trainer education, and troubleshooting of the Mission Planning system
- Participates in project coordinator of all installations to which they are assigned while efficiently performing system implementations and software upgrades, including customer training with minimal assistance by following established guidelines.
- Provided applications setup and configuration in support of events and demonstrations.
- Perform hands-on technical analysis and execute engineering studies/initiatives to make recommendations for improvement across the system architecture.
- Work in a dynamic environment addressing cutting-edge DoD challenges and be able to approach new problems where a solution does not already exist.
- Acting as an advisor, company representative and an extension of management to act in response to customer inquiries and referring information to the appropriate person
- Gather feedback from field events and customers and effectively translate to product management and engineering team in an effort to improve product acceptance and drive roadmap development.
- Conduct testing of installed and configured systems
- Maintaining relationships with customers after installation, training and events support events.
- Customer technical support, debugging, and training.
- Site preparation and scheduling for installation.
- Coordinating with software and hardware engineering teams to solve support issues.
- Experience in field service engineering, test engineering, and systems engineering.
- Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex systems problem.
- Detailed oriented position, will require strong organization, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and regular reporting of progress and status
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 8 years of related experience required.
- Working knowledge of military tactical applications.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- US Citizenship Required; Active DoD Secret Clearance
- May require CONUS and/or OCONUS travel to customer sites, up to 25% with or without reasonable accommodations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility.
