Job Title: Ironworker / Steel Erector
Location: Various sites across Utah
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $18–$35 per hour, depending on experience and certifications
Job Summary:
Ironworkers and steel erectors are responsible for assembling and installing structural steel frameworks for buildings, bridges, and other structures. This role involves working at heights, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring all work complies with safety standards.?
Key Responsibilities:
- Erect and install steel structures, including beams, columns, and girders
- Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings
- Operate cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment safely
- Perform welding, bolting, and rigging tasks as required
- Ensure alignment and stability of steel structures
- Adhere to OSHA and company-specific safety protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in steel erection or related construction fields preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Welding certification and OSHA 10/30 certifications are ideal
