    Position Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Irrigation Division Manager to lead and oversee all irrigation-related operations in the Las Vegas region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, ensuring efficient project execution, maintaining compliance with local regulations, and delivering exceptional service to clients. The role requires a deep understanding of irrigation systems, water conservation practices, and effective leadership in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the use of Weathermatic Smart Controllers in irrigation projects to optimize water usage, reduce waste, and improve system efficiency.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Division Management:

    o Oversee the operations of the irrigation division, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

    o Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the division's efficiency, profitability, and growth.

    o Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to ensure quality standards and client satisfaction are met.

    2. Project Oversight:

    o Manage all aspects of irrigation inspections, repair, and maintenance projects.

    o Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

    o Implement Weathermatic Smart Controllers in new and existing irrigation systems to optimize water usage based on weather data, plant requirements, and seasonal adjustments.

    o Review project scopes, estimates, and timelines to ensure alignment with customer expectations, including the integration of smart technology.

    3. Team Leadership:

    o Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of irrigation technicians and field staff.

    o Conduct regular training sessions on irrigation techniques, smart controller installation and programming, safety protocols, and new technologies.

    o Handle employee performance evaluations, discipline, and conflict resolution as needed.

    4. Weathermatic Smart Controller Integration:

    o Oversee the installation, setup, programming and monitoring of Weathermatic Smart Controllers.

    o Provide technical expertise in customizing smart controllers to suit specific irrigation needs, ensuring efficient water usage and enhanced performance.

    o Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to smart controllers, ensuring optimal functionality across all managed systems.

    o Stay updated on new features and advancements in Weathermatic Smart Controller technology and recommend upgrades or adjustments as needed.

    5. Budgeting and Cost Control:

    o Develop and manage the division's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards.

    o Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible without compromising service or safety.

    o Leverage the advanced features of Weathermatic Smart Controllers to reduce water consumption and lower operational costs for clients.

    6. Regulatory Compliance & Safety:

    o Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including water usage guidelines and environmental laws.

    o Promote and enforce safety practices on job sites to prevent accidents and injuries.

    o Stay updated on industry trends, water conservation initiatives, and new technologies, including smart irrigation solutions like Weathermatic.

    7. Property Relations:

    o Maintain strong relationships with account managers and actively pursue new business opportunities.

    o Provide technical expertise and recommendations to account managers regarding irrigation design, system upgrades, and water-saving solutions, particularly utilizing smart controllers to reduce water waste.

    o Address and resolve customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

    8. Reporting and Administration:

    o Prepare and submit regular reports on division performance, project status, and financials to senior management.

    o Maintain accurate records of project documentation, client communications, and maintenance logs.

    o Assist with forecasting and planning for future projects and staffing needs.

    ________________________________________Qualifications:

    • Education & Experience:

    o 5+ years of experience in irrigation system management or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

    o Certification in irrigation systems (e.g., Irrigation Association Certified Irrigation Contractor or Certified Irrigation Designer) is highly preferred.

    o Experience with Weathermatic Smart Controllers or other smart irrigation technologies is a significant plus.

    o Bi-Lingual- English and Spanish

    • Skills & Abilities:

    o Strong knowledge of irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance, with a focus on water-saving technologies.

    o Proficiency in the setup, programming, and troubleshooting of Weathermatic Smart Controllers.

    o Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills.

    o Solid understanding of water conservation practices and local regulations in Nevada, particularly related to irrigation.

    o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

    o Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

    • Physical Requirements:

    o Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

    o Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as necessary.

    o Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
