The Irrigation Service Technician is a hands-on position repairing irrigation for commercial and residential landscape clients. The Irrigation Technician that we’re looking for can foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Careful planning and the ability to anticipate issues are qualities which our clients count on.
Administrational Responsibilities:
Accurately keep track of your crew’s daily times and job times.
Ensure weekly inspections and maintenance are completed on assigned truck, trailer, and equipment. Any discrepancies, broken equipment, missing equipment, etc. are reported appropriately.
Document materials used and ensure material purchases are acquired under proper PO’s.
Operational Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation and low voltage lighting systems, usually working alone.
Load and unload heavy equipment and tools as needed.
Schedule and monitor daily workloads.
Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day.
Safe driving of company owned vehicles (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
Communicate daily with Production Manager on progress and planning.
Daily start up and shut down procedures.
Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors and clients.
Take ownership of the projects assigned to you to ensure they are completed under budget and up to quality standards.
Ensure assigned equipment is in safe working order by performing basic preventive maintenance.
Operate and use trenchers, tamps, mini excavators, skid steers, multi-meters, locators, pressure washers, and various hand tools.

Foreman will be directly responsible for assigned crew in mentoring roles.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in irrigation and landscape lighting.
Must be proficient in troubleshooting problems with minimum oversight.
Must be able to work alone and have great time management skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks.
Must be able to operate a trencher, locator, multi-meter, and various other compact equipment.
Must have a clean NCDL.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Must be a problem solver that requires minimum supervision.
