Qualification Summary
Your resume must reflect one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The IT Specialist oversees or performs research on Automated Data Processing and Information Technology work that requires the use of computer systems and software to efficiently and accurately process, organize, and manage data. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The IT Specialist assists and supports the business development of the department to create an innovation ecosystem where the Department of Defense (DOD), the state and country governments, private industry, academia, and others can collaborate. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The IT Specialist will help provide strategic input for technical capabilities areas and help connect personnel and project resources when required. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The IT Specialist helps provide technical support, planning, business development, interfaces with VIPs, assists in the coordination the Indo-Pacific Department's Technical Capabilities projects, and assists connecting subject matter experts. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 or pay band NO-05 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Extensive experience in research, analysis, systems engineering, design, development, acquisition, experimentation, testing, evaluation, installation, operations support; extensive experience leading risk and/or vulnerability assessments by identifying customer requirements; facilitating the delivery of defense systems and/or applying engineering concepts to complex systems of systems architectures; providing technical and project management oversight, providing resolution to problems, and providing supervision and/or leadership to engineers, technicians, and administrative specialists.
