It's A Secret Medspa is looking for a detail oriented Aesthetic Medical Assistant that is committed to delivering consistent administrative support to clinical staff. The Aesthetic Medical Assistant will support the Cosmetic Nurse Injectors and clients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, organization and social media. The ideal candidate must have a high aptitude to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment and possess the skill set to provide excellent bedside manner while assisting our Cosmetic Nurse Injectors.
A Day in the Life of an Aesthetic Medical Assistant
- Organize inventory and treatment rooms as necessary throughout the work shift
- Coordinate Cosmetic Injectors' client scheduling with the assistance of front of the house
- Conduct and organize the client's Before and After photography
- Manage social media and client messaging through various platforms for Cosmetic Nurse Injectors
- Prep and scribe client charting with the supervision of the Cosmetic Nurse Injector as needed
- Ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained within treatment rooms
- Prepare products and equipment within treatment rooms for Cosmetic Nurse Injectors prior and during treatment
- Draw up product accurately under the supervision of the Cosmetic Nurse Injectors
- Perform B12 shots and blood drawing for PRP as needed
- Ensure client consent forms and paperwork is accurate and completed in its entirety
- Conduct follow up calls with clients
- Request prescription refills from the Corporate NP in a timely manner
- Execute client prep prior to treatment (such as applying topical numbing cream to service areas, cleansing/sanitizing treatment areas and removing topical numbing cream)
- Escort clients to treatment rooms from front desk once check in has been completed
- Assist with keeping medical equipment clean and ready for scheduled services
- Participate in educational opportunities and training as scheduled by Corporate
- Explain products and instructions for pre/post op care to clients
- Uphold exceptional bedside manner with all client
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy and state law
- Backup front desk duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience
- Nursing school student (and/or Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy certifications) required
- Previous experience with Electronic Medical Record Systems required
- Strong Social Media acumen preferred
- Previous experience of Product/Inventory Management preferred
- Ability to communicate with proper etiquette
- Ability to multi-task while being attentive to clients and remaining flexible to the needs of the Cosmetic Nurse Injectors
- Maintains a high level of integrity with a strong ethical foundation
- Must have sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to reach above shoulder height, crawl, kneel and push/pull up 50 lbs
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required
