We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, you would be responsible for product research, design, development, testing and launching market initiatives to help J.M. Canty, Inc., continue to be an industry leader.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, research and develop, and design process vision product lines
Utilize engineering principle and design tools to create product specifications, drawings and comprehensive product manuals
Provide technical support for products from concept to build, help increase profitability of products and processes and help increase the value of products to customers to further enhance market share
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency
Work with vendors and suppliers to source and qualify materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. Mechanical Engineering (4-year degree) with a minimum 3.5 GPA
5+ years of experience in engineering, production or process improvement preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor 3D required or similar 3D CAD system. (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe PDF is helpful but not required
Knowledge of electrical wiring as well as electronic components such as switches, relays, power supplies and servo drive systems
Working knowledge of pressure vessel design and stress analysis is beneficial
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and concise manner to collaborate with cross function teams and outside customers.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive Benefits package includes the following:
Salary $65,000 - $75,000 BOE
