Job Description

Industrial Fastener Distributor seeks individual to fill our hybrid position of Inside Sales Representative with Shipping and Receiving responsibilities.

● Our Charlotte branch is located close to I-77 and Arrowwood Road in South Charlotte.

● Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries including quote preparation, order processing and expediting.

● Act as a primary contact for all customer requirements and direct issues, as necessary, to the appropriate personnel.

● Identify customer requirements and leverage internal resources to maintain existing business and create new opportunities to increase sales.

● Coordinate customer orders with stock orders from vendors. Maintain sufficient inventory levels to support customer requirements while maximizing inventory efficiencies.

● Work with vendors to resolve day-to-day operations including purchase orders, product quality or pricing discrepancies.

● Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication.

● Organize Tool Repair for incoming tools in need of repair

● Support our Outside Sales Team

● Environment requires multi-functional tasking

● Must be a team player with a positive attitude

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR SHIPPING AND RECEIVING INCLUDE:

● Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandise or material. Ship products by UPS, various truck shipments on pallets.

● Unpack, verify, and accurately record incoming merchandise or material

● Arrange appropriate transportation of products

● Assist customers with shipping inquiries

● Perform other administrative duties as assigned

● Keep warehouse clean and organized

● Organize and stock packing materials

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner

● General knowledge of manufacturing or mechanical aptitude is preferred, but not necessary

● Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office

● Some College, Technical School, or equivalent work experience preferred, but not necessary

● Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields, beneficial, but not required

● Ability to handle physical workload, lifting boxes with weight sometimes 50+ pounds

● Ability to multitask and prioritize

● Strong organizational skills

● Must have reliable transportation
