JOB SUMMARY

This position’s top responsibility will manage the billing, accounts receivable monitoring and collection process for Walmart, our company’s largest retail customer.  This position requires prior experience in a similar lead role with Walmart, including first hand experience with Walmart’s billing and payment practices.

Other general accounting duties will fill the remainder of the time available including accounts payable, transaction entry into the accounting system, reconciliations and reporting.

This will be an important position in the accounting department of a fun, exciting, rapidly-growing and successful company. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATION

• Convert Walmart purchase orders into invoices.
• Submit invoices to Walmart using EDI
• Monitor open invoices and expected payment dates.
• Match payments to invoices. Lead the steps to recapture any dollars lost from short payments.
• Daily systems account management including Retail Link.
• Additional experience with other retailer systems (i.e. Home Depot Supplier Hub) a plus as our company expands into other retailers in the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proven retail work experience in a similar billing role
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
• Experience working in billing/accounting/ERP software
• Walmart EDI system experience
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
