Our Client, a local Kansas City Civil Engineering firm has an immediate opening for a Civil Designer with experience being technically involved with municipal, commercial and subdivision land development design projects. Position requires experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Civil Storm and HEC-RAS experience a plus.

Responsibilities of the Civil Designer:

• Planning
• Design
• Calculations
• Preparation of construction documents
• Estimating quantities & construction costs
• Construction phase services
• Reports & studies
• Permit applications

Expectations of the Civil Designer:

The ideal candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, be self-motivated and customer service oriented. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills is a necessity.

Qualifications for the Civil Designer:

• Associates in CAD and/or Design-related degree
• 3+ years of Civil Design experience; site development, highway/roadway, grading, drainage
• Proficiencies with Civil3D and/or Microstation
