Our Summer Internship Development ProgramWe’re excited at offering a summer internship that starts with a temporary assignment at our North American headquarters in Savannah, GA where participants will undergo hands-on training in our business, products and practices. On completion of the internship, successful participants have the potential to be selected for the Leadership Development Program, placing you on the fast-track to a career at JCB, typically in Sales and Marketing. Any temporary housing expenses will be covered by JCB for the duration of the program. As a participant in JCB’s Summer Internship Development Program, you will be exposed to all areas of JCB's business - domestic and international. Participants will receive in-depth training to become the connection between our JCB dealers and JCB corporate. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesLearn all facets of the construction equipment business to prepare for future roles within the Leadership Development Program (LDP) Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental dutiesReceive training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater promotional opportunitiesPerform all other duties as assignedCompletes industry related research projects Participation in departmental and cross-functional meetings, work sessions, conference calls and TEAMS meetings RequirementsUndergraduate or graduate student majoring in Business, Agriculture, or similar fieldMust be able to commit to 8 week program period (MINIMUM)Must have the ability to temporarily relocate to Savannah GA for duration of internshipStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills. The Leadership Development Program is a two (2) year program that starts with a temporary assignment at our North American headquarters in Savannah, GA where program participants will undergo hands-on training in our business, products and practices. On successful completion of the program, participants will be placed in full time positions, typically Sales and Marketing, within our organization – some of these roles may require relocation across North America.Through this program, participants will develop effective leadership skills and gain the knowledge and experience required to be a comprehensive source of information for our dealer network by working in cross-functional areas of our business.
