    Summary/Objective:

    Our organization manufactures concrete batching equipment and related bulk material handling equipment. We are searching for an Engineering Manager to assist with transitioning from our current Engineering Manager who would like to partially retire but is willing to serve as a direct mentor and supervisor through our transition.

    The selected candidate will be trained to assume the duties of our current manager which includes workflow distribution, quality control, providing accurate estimates of project completing dates as well as conceptual layout and design associated with our equipment.

    Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (no exceptions), have experience with bulk material handling equipment and proven leadership skills. You can expect to work on many projects at the same time, manage our in-house engineering team of five as well as with various outsourced diverse teams of engineering professionals. You are expected to formulate and execute strategies to continue the design and development of our standard line of equipment as well as provide the customization required by some customers.

    To succeed in this role, you will need exceptional foresight, excellent communication and planning skills, a working knowledge of different engineering and manufacturing disciplines and how they relate to one another and have excellent knowledge of both plate and structural steel.

    Responsibilities:

    · Propose and mange budgets for projects

    · Supervise the work of in-house personnel

    · Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time

    · Researching and developing designs and products

    · Determining the need for training and talent development

    · Hiring and managing third party vendors as necessary

    · Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams

    · Administer our engineering document management system provided by SolidWorks

    · Ensure engineering personnel are properly using our ERP system provided by Infor/Syteline

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering

    · 5 years’ experience working with Bulk Materials Handling Or Similar To Our Products

    · Proven Supervisory and Technical Skills

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    · Excellent SolidWorks skills and ability to work in a paperless environment

    · Excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to using PDM and ERP software as well as excel, word and various other software packages
