Our client is looking for a Public Finance Attorney, a position that can be housed in any of its offices, as this person would support attorneys across Florida. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 - 10 years of experience working in the public finance realm, whether for a government entity or in a private practice. The firm is seeking support, primarily for matters affecting real estate and banking clients, on tax exempt bond transactions, community development districts, utility financings, special tax districts, public-private partnerships, tax credit transactions and other similar matters.
This position will support several partners in busy and sophisticated practices, involving a wide range of types of transactions and projects, including: preparation and analysis of transaction documents, assistance in deal structuring, and interacting with and communicating with client representatives and other deal representatives.
Qualified candidates will have superior communication, drafting and negotiation skills, keen attention to detail, and an excellent academic record. The ability and confidence to work independently and demonstrate flexibility and desire to work in a diverse, and fast-paced practice. Portable client base welcome but not required. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Prior experience at a regional or national law firm, an outstanding local firm, or a municipal or county attorney’s office with experience in public finance is preferred. Must be admitted to the Florida Bar or eligible for admission to the Florida Bar.
