Jackbox Games is best known for its rapidly expanding catalog of critically acclaimed party games, including Quiplash, Drawful, Fibbage, The Jackbox Party Pack, The Jackbox Party Pack 2, The Jackbox Party Pack 3, The Jackbox Party Pack 4, The Jackbox Party Pack 5 and the newly announcedand un-uniquely named Jackbox Party Pack 6. As Jackbox Games moves into the last 80% of this century, we hope to build on our successful business by pushing the boundaries of party games with new technology, new game concepts and new forms of interactivity.

We make party games where players interact with a game being displayed on a big screen, using their phones or tablets as controllers. While our games are often played at home in small groups of 2-8 people, we also support large-scale games at conferences or via Twitch streaming, where thousands of users can connect and interact.

We're a small group of around 30 talented, funny and creative individuals looking for a Digital Animator to join our Chicago-based team for a temporary project. This contract is expected to last roughly 2 to 3 months but may vary depending on start date. Contract employees are paid on an hourly basis.

GREAT… BUT WHAT'S THE GIG?

Jackbox Games is looking to contract 2D digital animators to help with the Jackbox Party Pack 6 production. We'll have multiple games in production over the next few months, and we'll need help building and designing animations within in our CC Animate-based pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Work with the game Art Lead to animate characters and visual effects.
• Deliver optimized, engine-friendly assets in Adobe Animate.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Traditional animation experience
• Excellent drawing skills
• Professional Experience in Adobe Animate/Flash
• Professional experience in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience storyboarding
• An eye for layout and graphic design
• Video game production experience a plus
