Our truck driver position description is:

We examine contents and compare them with records, such as manifests, work tickets, or orders to verify the accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.

Record shipment data electronically such as trip mileage, trip hours, weight over axles, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting and record-keeping purposes.

Determine shipping procedures regarding DOT rules and regulations, weight over axles, etc.

Confer and correspond with company representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformances to specifications.

Require current CDL license

Air brake experience necessary

Forklift truck proficiency to help with loading/unloading in-house when necessary. Moving customer's parts to and from our offsite warehouse may also be required.

Additional duties include: keeping the exterior of the truck clean; and keeping the truck interior (both the cab and trailer) clean, free of debris, garbage, and spilled parts. Apply oil absorbent to the trailer floor if oily.
