Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Manager to oversee and lead our custodial team in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility. This leadership role will be responsible for supervising janitorial staff, managing cleaning schedules, ensuring quality control, and implementing cleaning protocols that meet safety and health standards. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and organized individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and evaluate janitorial staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained.

Develop and manage cleaning schedules and allocate tasks based on priority and staffing levels.

Inspect and monitor the work of custodial staff to ensure compliance with cleaning standards and protocols.

Ensure that all cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials are properly stocked and maintained.

Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or concerns from staff or facility occupants.

Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.

Maintain and enforce safety protocols and ensure staff adhere to workplace safety guidelines.

Report any maintenance or facility issues that require attention to the appropriate departments.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility cleanliness meets organizational needs and standards.

Maintain and ensure proper documentation for cleaning activities, safety reports, and equipment usage.

Qualifications:

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in janitorial or custodial services, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to janitorial duties.

Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities or schedules.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with janitorial management software or scheduling tools.

Previous experience in large facilities, commercial, or healthcare settings is a plus.
