    Marketing Strategist Role Description

    Position Overview

Can you help us get there by owning our marketing efforts? Our Marketing Strategist is responsible for the Jay Shetty Certification School marketing team leadership, planning, coordination, and execution of marketing activities for the programs (online & live), developing innovative customer journey experiences and funnels critical to driving program enrollments. The Marketing Strategist navigates a highly complex and dynamic knowledge industry market, and in doing so, deploys a fully integrated marketing and communication strategy.

    We are looking for an experienced, solution-oriented, and creative leader with the ability to connect marketing strategies to project objectives, finding ways to strategically and creatively communicate value propositions to prospective students. You have experience in planning and strategizing various marketing campaigns, as well as leading a team toward the timely execution of those campaigns while assuring quality standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead Jay Shetty Certification School efforts in developing and realizing revenue strategies, long-term planning, and all goals related to the school's reputation and visibility in the highly competitive knowledge industry market.
    • Track and analyze sales data, creating and adapting marketing strategies based on results of that data analysis.
    • Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies that contribute to the growth and sustainability of the school.
    • Articulate strategic ideas via written proposals and marketing plans that effectively communicate each concept & deliverable.
    • Directly oversee all advertising strategies, marketing communications, content creation, and creative assets used in promoting school engagements.
    • Lead Conversion Rate Optimization including A/B and multivariate testing, customer journey analysis, copy optimization, and segmentation.
    • Plan, implement, and maintain social media campaigns and projects, creating innovative and targeted opportunities.
    • Engage in and ensure a strategic relationship with the school team providing insight and leadership across all aspects of the marketing and communications spectrum.
    • Ensure excellent team communication at all levels: defining KPIs, deadlines, and service agreements, leading through the execution, reviewing the deliverables, and giving feedback.
    • Deliver an added-value consultancy to the Strategic Director, suggesting innovative ideas and improvements.
    • Measure growth and impact across the full spectrum of marketing channels (social media platforms, email marketing, chatbots, digital advertising, online marketing funnels), and report the findings to the Strategic Director.
    • Use social listening tools and analytical services to generate insight, fuel social conversation, and maximize the impact of marketing campaigns.
    • Stay up to date on the best marketing practices and current trends.

    We are looking for you if you are:

    • Well versed in social media, digital advertising, marketing & sales funnels, and the integration of digital marketing into the PR landscape & sales processes.

    • Experienced in delivering both paid and organic social media campaigns, strategizing, mapping and executing sales and marketing funnels, and managing a marketing team.

    • Considered, assertive, and influential, a strong leader with the skills and aptitude to develop and motivate a team. 

    • Able to provide consultancy on broader marketing strategy.

    • Demonstrably successful at increasing previous client/employer revenues.

    • Able to troubleshoot team and client problem areas – and suggest a remedial course of action.

    • A creative thinker with an open-minded approach.

    • Willing to work with other departments and independently, as well as comfortable working within a remote, global organization, where colleagues are located around the world. 

    • A roll-up-your-sleeves person with a bias toward action, a self-starter who takes initiative rather than waiting for direction. You build strategy, then execute. 

    • Passionate about building communities and helping others improve their lives. You have a natural connection ability, great listening skills and the ability to help shape mindset and behaviors.
