HOW WILL YOUR ROLE IMPACT FIRST COMMAND?
The mail clerk will process the company’s inbound, outbound, and internal mail. Interacts with mail carriers, package service employees, U.S. Post Office employees, and field and home office personnel
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Receives and accounts for daily incoming mail and packages. Opens, sorts, time stamps, and delivers interdepartmental mail. Sends, receives, and distributes facsimiles received in the mailroom.
Operates manual and automated systems to sort, package, weigh, address, and ship outgoing mail. Helps maintain address databases for carrier unique software and mailing label programs. Prepares shipping invoices.
Uses computers and electronic mailing machines with carrier unique software to process outbound packages for ground or express service.
Collects and distributes internal mail by department. Sorts outgoing advisor mail and inserts it into office mailboxes Posts advisor subscriptions and office relocations.
Monitors and maintains postal account balance logs. Prepares charge sheets
Assists home office and field personnel with mail tracing and service inquiries.

Required Skills Required Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate and high complexity testing. Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science field from an accredited institution; or, must meet CLIA grandfathered medical technologist requirements. At least four years of experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions independently. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Good organizational the human relation skills.
Computer Skills:
Ability to use Microsoft Office products and various other computer software including Laboratory Information System.
Certificates and Licenses:
Specialty certification by a recognized certifying agency for clinical laboratory professionals preferred (ASCP, ASMT, NCA, etc). Must actively demonstrate the pursuance of specialty certification in chosen field of clinical expertise.
