    JOB TITLE (#2876): Psychiatrist / Medical Director - New York, NY

    Minimum of 5 years experience working directly with clients

    Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Psychiatrist Medical Director to fill an opening with a Public Health and Social Service Center located in New York, New York.

    Requirements of the Psychiatrist:

    • Must have a Psychiatrist (MD) degree
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years working directly with clients
    • Must have an active New York State license
    • Must be Board Certified
    • Must have DEA registration and BLS/CPR certification
    • Must be comfortable in managing behavioral health department and carry a caseload at the same time
    • Must have FQHC experience (Community Clinic or Public Hospital that serve an underserved area or population)

    Benefits of the Psychiatrist:

    • The salary for this position is up to $375,000 / yr

    Responsibilities of the Psychiatrist:

    • Conducts psychiatric evaluations
    • Completes psychiatric reports
    • Conducts psycho-pharmacological sessions with clients
    • Documents all encounters in the electronic health record
    • Provides in-service training
    • Participate in mental health rounds
    • Contribute knowledge and practical experience to the development of an Article 31 censed mental health program
    • Leads group psychotherapy sessions with clients, when possible
    • Attends Morning Rounds and 'Care Plan" meetings, when possible
    • Participates in professional and competency development via appropriate training and workshops
    • Duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
