Position Overview:

As a Job Coach, you will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, providing them with the support, guidance, and skills necessary to gain and maintain meaningful employment. You will be a vital part of our team, helping clients thrive in their work environments and promoting workplace inclusivity.
Please note: This position starts as part-time, but there is the potential to transition to full-time based on client needs and performance. The role is an on-the-road position, which means you will be traveling to various job sites and locations to provide direct support to clients. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Additionally, we are committed to your ongoing professional development, offering ongoing training with The Boggs Center and in-house training to ensure you are equipped with the best tools and knowledge to succeed in your role. CPR certification is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Personalized Job Coaching: Work closely with individuals to teach job skills, improve workplace behaviors, and promote confidence and independence in their roles.
Support Clients in the Workplace: Assist clients in transitioning into and maintaining their jobs, offering on-the-job training, feedback, and ongoing support.
Collaborate with Employers: Ensure that clients are meeting job expectations and provide assistance with any workplace challenges or concerns.
Maintain Documentation: Track client progress, document achievements, and provide regular reports on their development and goals.
Advocate for Clients: Support individuals in self-advocacy and ensure that their needs are met within the work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in social work, Psychology, special education, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in job coaching, vocational rehabilitation, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for helping others succeed.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients and cases.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required (as this is an on-the-road position).
CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain certification).
Willingness to participate in ongoing training with The Boggs Center and in-house training to enhance your skills and expertise.
