Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and prepare patients for their visits, including taking vital signs and gathering medical histories.

Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient records.

Administer medications, injections, and perform basic wound care under the supervision of a provider.

Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and organized to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Provide patient education regarding care plans, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions.

Uphold strict adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPAA standards.

Support clinic operations by monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an urgent care or outpatient setting.

Skills:

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to provide compassionate and respectful patient care.

Certifications: Current CPR certification required; CMA or RMA certification is highly desirable.
