Job Opportunity: Dispatcher

We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our team at the C&S Family of Companies. As a Dispatcher, you will be the main point of contact for our team of professional drivers. Your role involves coordinating and assigning loads to drivers, ensuring they have all the necessary information and equipment for successful deliveries. You will also be responsible for communicating any changes or issues to stakeholders and ensuring a safe and efficient operation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and create schedules to ensure all assignments are covered for the day.
• Dispatch routes and provide necessary information to drivers.
• Coordinate with the team to develop coverage plans for uncovered loads.
• Communicate transportation-related information to drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Update customer portal with relevant information.
• Support the driver workforce and escalate any issues to management.
• Update the dispatch system with accurate information and debrief drivers after their shifts.
• Answer phone calls professionally and provide assistance when needed.
• Conduct daily safety observations to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Ensure drivers follow DOT regulations regarding Hours of Service.

Qualifications:

• CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively (written and oral)
• Customer service experience
