    ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND

    As an On-Demand team member (TM) at Target, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like. Some weeks you might work more, while other weeks you might choose to work less. This role is perfect for those who prefer a personalized work schedule.

    As an On-Demand TM, you won't be included on the posted weekly schedule. Instead, you have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that best fit your availability. Shifts are posted by leaders or other team members using our myTime mobile scheduling app.

    We require active engagement from our On-Demand TMs. This means picking up and working shifts, as well as responding to our attempts to contact you.

    We will reach out to you throughout the year using the contact information you provide to confirm your availability and interest in working shifts at Target. If we don't receive a response, your employment with Target will be terminated. Regular attendance is important, and you must work at least one shift within 6 months to maintain your employment.

    Your communication skills and ability to work when we need you most are essential for success in this role. If you're offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and undergo a short-term structured training schedule to prepare you for your new role. After that, you can use the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick up the shifts you want to work.

    As a Guest Advocate at Target, your role is to provide an exceptional guest experience. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations. As an advocate for both physical and digital services and solutions, you will be knowledgeable about the various capabilities and features that drive guest loyalty. You will make shopping effortless and seamless for guests at various areas within the store.

    A typical day as a Guest Advocate at Target may include the following responsibilities:

    • Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience
    • Creating a welcoming experience by warmly greeting all guests
    • Observing guests to quickly understand their needs and desires
    • Engaging with guests in a genuine way and asking questions to better understand their specific needs
    • Being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store
    • Thanking guests and letting them know we appreciate their choice to shop at Target
    • Efficiently scanning and bagging guest items with accuracy
    • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining excellent guest service and accuracy
    • Informing guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
    • Promoting the Target RedCard and assisting guests with the application process
    • Being familiar with fulfillment services and helping guests enroll, activate, and use them
    • Assisting guests with using Wallet and other features and offerings within the Target App
    • Processing returns and resolving guest concerns
    • Delivering excellent service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
    • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
    • Demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
    • Working in a safe manner, identifying and correcting hazards, and complying with safety policies
    • Supporting guest services such as order pick up and drive-up, while complying with relevant laws
    • Performing all other duties based on business needs
