Job Title: Job Order Contracting (JOC) Project Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced JOC Project Manager to join our team in Lisle, IL. This role will focus on managing Job Order Contracting (JOC) contracts for a portfolio of publicly funded education projects across Illinois, specifically under the Illinois Public Higher Education Cooperative (IPHEC) initiative. The JOC PM will oversee the successful execution of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards.
The JOC Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of multiple Job Order Contracts (JOC) for publicly funded educational institutions across Illinois. This includes developing project plans, timelines, and budgets for all assigned JOC contracts, ensuring alignment with client objectives and IPHEC guidelines. The JOC PM will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including universities, community colleges, and other public educational entities, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
The role involves working closely with stakeholders to define project scopes, specifications, and performance requirements. The JOC PM will also manage the development of detailed work orders in accordance with contract terms, ensuring that all work orders meet the client’s needs and project specifications. The JOC PM will oversee project budgets, track project expenditures, and ensure all work is completed within budgetary constraints.
In addition, the JOC PM will supervise and coordinate project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity throughout the project lifecycle. The position also includes ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements, as well as quality standards. The JOC PM will conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
The role will require maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and financial reports, and providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders. Additionally, the JOC PM will identify and mitigate potential project risks, resolving issues proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns.
